Happy New Year

   Today I dedicate this post to being grateful for a New Year! As I look back at 2016, it has been a good one. However, with a New Year comes New Year resolutions you know you hear people saying New Year, New me. I know, i know blah, blah, blah lol, but I honestly I don't keep up with my resolutions. Although this year I am, the reason why is because I need to take more time to relax and unwind. It falls back to not working 24/7 and the profession I am in really can make you feel like you are working around the clock. I think I really can't feel drained and not do things I enjoy, such as writing my blog.
     I look back and I wanted to do so much more because honestly what girl doesn't love fashion and sharing it! I look at the picture  (shown below) and it makes me know do what you love and be happy! I will look forward and take time for myself to write and also to be healthy because without your health you can't do what you love and spend it with the people you love! So my New Years resolution is stick to leaving work at work (and know it's hard because of grading papers and doing paperwork, but take time to enjoy and write) and be healthy! Plus you don't want too many resolutions because then it gets messy to remember and do all of them lol. I leave this post saying Sparkle into the New Year and we all know we love to wear Sequins and Glitter tops for New Years Eve! Which is what I did and I got this skirt on sale!! High top Converse

   Lately, I have been living in these high top converse. I just love these shoes, not only because you can use them in all seasons, but how versatile they are. They look cute in jeans, shorts and dresses. Of course converse are shoes you can wear everyday! However, these high top converse can be swapped for booties especially in colder days. I have worn them with jeans and leggings only because it's been cold, but can't wait to wear them in Spring and Summer. What have been your go to shoes lately? Utility Vest

One of my fave items this Fall season has been a Olive color utility vest. Not only because it is great to wear in cool weather, with a long sleeve shirt. It is versatile it can be worn with jeans, tights, plaid shirts and even looks cute with shorts. It's a perfect item to wear all year round. As I originally bought it to wear with a black and white stripe long sleeve blouse, today I paired it with a light pink color long sleeve blouse and didn't think these two colors would look cute, but they did. Jewelry of the day

     It's always nice to see items you used to wear when you were younger come back to style. Chokers are one of those styles I loved that came back. I searched for my old school chokers, I had a bunch of jewelry I saved. However, I couldn't find them they have such cute chokers that can make you feel like you were back in the 90's! I bought some from agaci, what I liked about them was not only the variey of chokers they had, but that they came in a set! (Shown below) Chokers are an accessory that can make your outfit look dressed up, when all you put on was a tee. I am excited to wear them more with different #ootd. What do you wear with chokers? Few of my faves

  Below are a few of my favorite items. I am looking forward to wearing them this Fall. Also my boyfriend bought me a new journal and can't wait to write my ideas in it! It is close to my heart because it has a scottie on it reminds me of a sweet dog I had Monty. What are your favorite items? Comment below I would love to hear from you!

1. When I saw these Moto Leigh Ripped Skinny jeans on Nordstrom.com, I had to have them in my life.  I haven't worn them yet, but they are so cute and a great fit! Black jeans are always a go to for any ootd!

2. I am such a Fan of a plaid shirts and this one is no different. I bought this Flannel plaid shirt at oldnavy. I love it and how versatile it is. Plaid shirts are a go to for the Fall season.

3. This journal says it all. I love it not only because my boyfriend bought it for me from CharmingCharlie (so sweet), but for my love of pets and writing! Ready to use it for my blog ideas! Journals are great to have and can be used for many things needed in your life.

4. I was looking for a cute pair of booties and these Faux Leather Ankle booties fit the description. I bought them from forever21 and look great with jeans, dresses and shorts. The camel color also is great for the Fall season. Ready to wear these more this season!

Simple and cute hairstyles for everyday wear

                            Today I went back to work and it just was a reminder that Summer is coming to an end. It just made me think back to hairstyles I tried this summer. I really enjoyed finding different hairstyles to try. I found most of the hairstyles I used on Pinterest. You can really stay there searching and searching for different ideas forever lol. A few posts back I wrote about a few hairstyles I tried and all were quick and easy to do. What I love about these hairstyles is not only can they be used in the Summertime, they are too cute and can be transitioned to the fall season. With my hair being shorter or a type of lob style I looked for different ways to style it. I love a cute bun and I like how they can be styled by either wearing your hair up or down. The hairstyle I tried was a half-up do and put a high bun on top. However, I have also seen it be called a knot or top knot hairstyle. One of my lovely friends Michelle, her and I are in love with fashion and talking about it. When her and I get together we always say it is trouble because we love to shop (a lot) lol and we can share different tips and what fashion or hairstyle we like to try. I love her style and I am sharing her hair of the day she used when she went to a concert. She wore a hair up hair down hairstyle. What is so cute about this style is how she added curls to it. This hairstyle also went perfect with what she wore it was blue jeans shorts and a tank with a plaid shirt around her waist, tights with combat boots. She also tries different hairstyles wearing her hair to the side as a side pony tail (who doesn't love a good side ponytail) and also buns with or without headbands. Fall wear

         When I moved to a new city I was happy to see there would be a Nordstrom close by me! I have been finding such cute items here and plus they are on sale (huge plus)!! Shown below are my items I picked for the Fall season, I had been wanting an  Olive color utility vest and when I saw one there I had to have it. What I like about it, was the length of it and how it can be worn with booties for the Fall season. However, not only could you wear a utility vest for the Fall season pair it with shorts and a tee and converse or sandals and wear in the Spring or Summer. I have also been looking for blouses I can wear to work and the weekend. I ordered the Lush brand, Olive color 3/4 sleeve blouse and when I received it I loved it! I have already worn it to work, but I can't wait to wear it with jeans and booties. There are a variety of colors to pick from, but I just loved the Olive color because I feel it such a great color for the Fall season. I have also been looking for distressed jeans and the BLANKNYC 'Skinny Dipper' Distressed Skinny Jeans are a must have!! I can't wait to receive them!
