Happy New Year

   Today I dedicate this post to being grateful for a New Year! As I look back at 2016, it has been a good one. However, with a New Year comes New Year resolutions you know you hear people saying New Year, New me. I know, i know blah, blah, blah lol, but I honestly I don't keep up with my resolutions. Although this year I am, the reason why is because I need to take more time to relax and unwind. It falls back to not working 24/7 and the profession I am in really can make you feel like you are working around the clock. I think I really can't feel drained and not do things I enjoy, such as writing my blog.
     I look back and I wanted to do so much more because honestly what girl doesn't love fashion and sharing it! I look at the picture  (shown below) and it makes me know do what you love and be happy! I will look forward and take time for myself to write and also to be healthy because without your health you can't do what you love and spend it with the people you love! So my New Years resolution is stick to leaving work at work (and know it's hard because of grading papers and doing paperwork, but take time to enjoy and write) and be healthy! Plus you don't want too many resolutions because then it gets messy to remember and do all of them lol. I leave this post saying Sparkle into the New Year and we all know we love to wear Sequins and Glitter tops for New Years Eve! Which is what I did and I got this skirt on sale!! High top Converse

   Lately, I have been living in these high top converse. I just love these shoes, not only because you can use them in all seasons, but how versatile they are. They look cute in jeans, shorts and dresses. Of course converse are shoes you can wear everyday! However, these high top converse can be swapped for booties especially in colder days. I have worn them with jeans and leggings only because it's been cold, but can't wait to wear them in Spring and Summer. What have been your go to shoes lately? Utility Vest

One of my fave items this Fall season has been a Olive color utility vest. Not only because it is great to wear in cool weather, with a long sleeve shirt. It is versatile it can be worn with jeans, tights, plaid shirts and even looks cute with shorts. It's a perfect item to wear all year round. As I originally bought it to wear with a black and white stripe long sleeve blouse, today I paired it with a light pink color long sleeve blouse and didn't think these two colors would look cute, but they did. Jewelry of the day

     It's always nice to see items you used to wear when you were younger come back to style. Chokers are one of those styles I loved that came back. I searched for my old school chokers, I had a bunch of jewelry I saved. However, I couldn't find them they have such cute chokers that can make you feel like you were back in the 90's! I bought some from agaci, what I liked about them was not only the variey of chokers they had, but that they came in a set! (Shown below) Chokers are an accessory that can make your outfit look dressed up, when all you put on was a tee. I am excited to wear them more with different #ootd. What do you wear with chokers?   Below are a few of my favorite items. I am looking forward to wearing them this Fall. Also my boyfriend bought me a new journal and can't wait to write my ideas in it! 1. When I saw these Moto Leigh Ripped Skinny jeans on Nordstrom.com, I had to have them in my life.  I haven't worn them yet, but they are so cute and a great fit! Black jeans are always a go to for any ootd!

2. I am such a Fan of a plaid shirts and this one is no different. I bought this Flannel plaid shirt at oldnavy. I love it and how versatile it is. Plaid shirts are a go to for the Fall season.

3. This journal says it all. I love it not only because my boyfriend bought it for me from CharmingCharlie (so sweet), but for my love of pets and writing! Ready to use it for my blog ideas! Journals are great to have and can be used for many things needed in your life.

4. I was looking for a cute pair of booties and these Faux Leather Ankle booties fit the description. I bought them from forever21 and look great with jeans, dresses and shorts. The camel color also is great for the Fall season. Ready to wear these more this season!

Simple and cute hairstyles for everyday wear

                            Today I went back to work and it just was a reminder that Summer is coming to an end. It just made me think back to hairstyles I tried this summer. I really enjoyed finding different hairstyles to try. I found most of the hairstyles I used on Pinterest. You can really stay there searching and searching for different ideas forever lol. A few posts back I wrote about a few hairstyles I tried and all were quick and easy to do. What I love about these hairstyles is not only can they be used in the Summertime, they are too cute and can be transitioned to the fall season. With my hair being shorter or a type of lob style I looked for different ways to style it. I love a cute bun and I like how they can be styled by either wearing your hair up or down. The hairstyle I tried was a half-up do and put a high bun on top. However, I have also seen it be called a knot or top knot hairstyle. One of my lovely friends Michelle, her and I are in love with fashion and talking about it. When her and I get together we always say it is trouble because we love to shop (a lot) lol and we can share different tips and what fashion or hairstyle we like to try. I love her style and I am sharing her hair of the day she used when she went to a concert. She wore a hair up hair down hairstyle. What is so cute about this style is how she added curls to it. This hairstyle also went perfect with what she wore it was blue jeans shorts and a tank with a plaid shirt around her waist, tights with combat boots. She also tries different hairstyles wearing her hair to the side as a side pony tail (who doesn't love a good side ponytail) and also buns with or without headbands. Fall wear

         When I moved to a new city I was happy to see there would be a Nordstrom close by me! I have been finding such cute items here and plus they are on sale (huge plus)!! Shown below are my items I picked for the Fall season, I had been wanting an  Olive color utility vest and when I saw one there I had to have it. What I like about it, was the length of it and how it can be worn with booties for the Fall season. However, not only could you wear a utility vest for the Fall season pair it with shorts and a tee and converse or sandals and wear in the Spring or Summer. I have also been looking for blouses I can wear to work and the weekend. I ordered the Lush brand, Olive color 3/4 sleeve blouse and when I received it I loved it! I have already worn it to work, but I can't wait to wear it with jeans and booties. There are a variety of colors to pick from, but I just loved the Olive color because I feel it such a great color for the Fall season. I have also been looking for distressed jeans and the BLANKNYC 'Skinny Dipper' Distressed Skinny Jeans are a must have!! I can't wait to receive them!

Chambray everyday

          Earlier today we got a little rain in our area! I'm not too fond of the rain because of course you can't do too much and the humidity makes your hair (or at least mine) gets frizzy. However, today it was nice because I was able to wear my chambray blouse. I just feel you can wear a chambray blouse, dress or romper everyday! The material is so comfortable and you can wear any type of shoes with it. It is also a go to outfit to go out on a date or dinner with the girls. Style it with heels and jewelry and you are ready to hit the town! On rainy days I usually try to curl my hair, due to my hair being thick and it can look frizzy. Back in April I cut my hair, similar to a lob style and had always wanted to try the choppy curl look. Though I didn't quite to the choppy curls, it such a cute style to learn! Looking forward to styling it like this again. I also noticed today my hair is growing. I couldn't get to cut my hair too much (like a lob style) because my hair was in layers that I am really thinking about cutting it again to get that style. Versatile Tank tops

                           Tank tops are one of those items all women have in their closets. They are easy to style because they go with pretty much everything.  I like to exercise (to an extend lol), but one workout I love to do is yoga. I been enjoying getting back to my yoga routine not only because it is great I also get to use these tanks with workout tights. It's just great to find an item that can easily be style with everything in your closet. Plus when  you just want a quick ootd, these tanks are versatile and can be dressed up or down. Since it has been a hot summer (as always lol), these tank tops are great to wear with shorts. However, if you want to wear jeans they pair great with them too. If you worry about wearing jeans in the summer, tank tops give you an reassurance that you will feel cool, while looking stylish. I purchased my tank tops from old navy, they have such cute items! What I love about these tanks is how different each one is. I bought one tank (not shown in the blog), it has a high neck and a flowy style. The other two (blue and pink) are high neck as well, but they open from the back. A tulip open from the back style (as described at old navy). The last tank (shown in the picture) is a stripe tank and has thin straps and what I liked when I saw this tank is how you can add a hat to this outfit. So cute for the summertime. One last thing to add is that all were on sale!! 3 of them were $2!! The stripe was $6, bargain shopping is the best! If you haven't gone by old navy check them out for their great deals. Messy bun with a braid

                                        Today was one of those days where you feel lazy and resort to put on something comfy. I was wearing tights, but I just felt I wanted to wear something else. I am not one to get dressed right away, because sometimes I feel I have nothing to wear. I'm sure readers can relate haha. Though I just wanted to be comfortable and I put on my favorite pair of jeans. I had also bought some cute sandals from old navy (which were on sale) and I been wanting to wear them everyday if I can! I have been enjoying the summertime because I have the time and energy to try different hairstyles. I love a messy bun look, you can wear it high up on  your head or low. It just looks great with anything you wear. I decided to pair the messy bun look with a braid. I have bangs that I wear to the side, but today I didn't want to style them. This hairstyle allowed me to braid my bangs and then all I did was just twisted my hair and got a messy bun look.  This day was all about relaxed vibes. What do you wear on lazy days? Simple and cute hairstyles

              Lately, I had been looking for simple, but cute hairstyles. I have always loved a braid hairstyle, they are easy to do and plus they make your hairstyle look cute with little effort needed. In the summertime, you look for quick and easy styles that will make you feel fresh. I haven't been in the mood to straighten my hair or style it with a blow dryer. However, if I do wear it down I try to look and wear it up when I can. With the styles I had been wearing (shown in the pictures), they take less then five minutes to do. I styled my hair in two pictures (top), which I straighten my hair the previous day and then in the other one I styled it in a pony tail and added a braid to it. The other day I just did a quick blow dry and wore it half up then added a braid on one side. I love to look at Pinterest for hairstyle ideas and been wanting to try a crown braid. It of course looks better in the tutorials, haha but I did try my best. I let my hair air-dry to give it a wavy/messy look and then I added thick braids on both sides. Then I used bobby pins to twist them together. Since it was my first time to try this style I didn't get quite to this look, but I still was happy with it because it was easy to do! I seen in the pictures you can loosen up the braid and then wrap each braid to each other on both sides. There are so many ways to wear braids and can't wait to try more. They are great to wear on hot summer days, to the pool or simply when you want quick easy styles! What is your favorite hairstyle? Summertime wear

              This summer I have been living in these blue jean shorts (shown below). Well not literally, haha but I do wear them as much as I can. We look for cool and comfort in the summer and this is exactly what these shorts provide. I bought these shorts back in May and I knew they would come in handy. What I like about these shorts is the length and style. They aren't too short and the cuff fold makes it look as they are a short length. However, they aren't. These shorts are easy to style because they go with pretty much every blouse/shirt and shoe. They had a lighter stone wash color, but not in my size. Shoes of the day

         On the weekend all I want to do is wear my tenni shoes. Well pretty much everyday. I feel the shoes you pick to wear depend on your mood. If you want to feel relax you might pick tenni shoes or flats. Maybe it's for comfort it could be a good set of heels or wedges (depending on which ones are comfortable to you). Either way your shoes are the essence of the outfit. What I also love about shoes is not only can you not have too many of them, but they can make an outfit turn from a day to night outfit. You don't need to change your whole outfit ladies all you have to do is swap the shoes. That is so convenient! Especially for our busy day to day lives. I feel I could wear my converse everyday not only because they are cute, but they look great with jeans, shorts and dresses. What are your favorite pair of shoes? Boyfriend jeans and lace up flats

               Today I was looking for an outfit that was casual and cool. What I love about boyfriend jeans is the comfort fit and how they can be styled. I chose to wear the jeans today with my black lace-up flats. I'm absolutely in love with lace up flats or pretty much any lace-up shoe whether it's flats or heels. The lace-up shoe can be worn with any bottom, they are so cute with boyfriend jeans, but even with dresses and shorts. I enjoy wearing these flats because they can enhance your outfit by still keeping your feet comfortable. This outfit can simply be changed to a day to night outfit, which I feel is the key for a Friday outfit or any day for that matter. What do you pair with your boyfriend jeans? Summer outfits

       The ideal outfit in Summer is to keep cool while looking stylish. What I love about summer outfits is how to put items together. It can either be ripped jeans with a tee and flats or a dress with tenni shoes. The objective is to feel comfortable and stay stylish. Of course sandals is a must in the summertime. I had purchased these strappy thong sandals in May and couldn't wait to wear them. This blouse has a flowy style to it, but what I love about it is not only the fit, but the crochet print on the bottom of it. Even though I love to wear shorts and dresses I always resort back to jeans! I just love these skinny jeans because of the dark rinse wash color and they pair great with pretty much any top!      What I love is a great denim top and jeans! It can be worn to work or to a dinner or lunch date with your significant other or with friends! Nude nail polish for Spring

   Floral prints, crochet shorts, bright color blouses all fabulous trends for Spring! One trend ladies also love is a great color for their nails! With all these great colors and prints a good nail color contrast is what we look for. I went today to the nail salon and was going to pick the usual pink color for Spring. However, I wanted to try something different. I selected a Nude color for my nails. I have to be honest I was hesitant to select this particular shade because thought it would blend with my skin color. It actually looked nice! I recommend this shade of color! Rainy days

    Lately the weather has been cold and rainy. Some days colder then others, but instead of dreading this type of weather I have enjoyed it. The reason I say this is because of the outfits I have been able to wear! I love wearing boots (either long or Booties) and it is always nice to sport a leather jacket. One thing I'm not fond of during the rainy weather is my hair! In this type of weather my hair tends to get frizzy (happens more with this weather), however instead of frowning upon it I had been able to wear curls! Curls in the hair make your outfit look classic while being able to handle the rainy weather! What is your favorite hairstyle or outfit during the cold weather? I always love a great print and these flower print leggings are a comfort fit while looking stylish. I paired up these leggings with a black v neck sweater and long black boots. Day to night outfit

        Sometimes the trick to saving time to look for the perfect outfit is either swapping the top or bottom from an item of clothing you are wearing. Adjusting is all you need to do! Whether it's out to dinner with your significant other or out with the girls after work you can just do a quick day to night look and you are ready to enjoy the night! That is what I did last night I actually been wanting to wear this top and was able to it for Valentine's day! I had these cute heart heels I had gotten a while back and had a vision of what I wanted to wear! During the day I wore the red tank blouse sheer from the back with jeans and gold flats. During the night I paired it with black leggings and cream color with black hearts heels. It was quick and fun to go from a day to night outfit!
